The Long Rider by C.B. Mahaney

The Civil War spawned a special, short, hard time in the history of our country. A time when many had no home to go back to. They rode west to find new homes, or room to find themslves or lose themselves. A time when a hard man, with a fast horse and a fast gun could carve a niche people would remember even today. He could be on either side of what law there was, and often there was very little difference. Sometimes they switched back and forth as circumstances or their whim dictated. They could ride and fight together, and then turn and fight each other if there was nothing else to capture their imagination at the moment. This accurate sculpture portarys the definitive term their style of life became know as, "The Long Rider."
